11.7.7 Vicente Feliú Miranda.

Vicente Feliú Miranda, Cuban musician, singer, guitarist, and songwriter, was born in 1947 in Havana. His father taught him to play the guitar. He composed his first songs in 1964, while still in high school.
He joined the Cuban song movement that emerged in the 1970s, known as Nueva Trova, of which he is considered one of its most significant voices. He held various positions within the organization, including its presidency, where he served for fifteen years.
Vicente Feliú has taken his music to all latitudes, Europe, Africa and more than 20 countries in the Americas. He has shared stages with great stars of the world music such as: Silvio Rodríguez and Pablo Milanés (Cuba), Luis Eduardo Aute and Caco Senante (Spain), Isabel Parra and Inti Illimani (Chile), León Gieco and Mercedes Sosa (Argentina), Jackson Browne, Pete Seeger, Holly Near and Little Stevens (United States), Daniel Viglietti and Alfredo Zitarrosa (Uruguay), and Luis Enrique and Carlos Mejía Godoy (Nicaragua).
His musical output is extensive, encompassing music for plays, television, and shows. He has also worked as an assistant director and musical director, collaborating on cultural programs. He was a music consultant for Cuban radio and television, and a radio scriptwriter, broadcaster, and director.
Vicente currently oversees the Canto de Todos cultural center, which promotes encounters and exchanges among Latin American countries through song.
