Issac Felipe Delgado-Ramirez, better known as Issac Delgado, is a prominent Cuban salsa singer. He was born on September 11, 1962, in Havana. He is the son of Luis Delgado and Lina Ramírez, who was an actress, dancer, and singer at the Teatro Musical de La Habana. He began his musical career when he enrolled in a music conservatory, where he continued studying cello for two years. After abandoning his musical studies, he became interested in sports, especially soccer.

Later, at the age of eighteen, at the request of Gonzalo Rubalcaba, he joined the group Proyecto. Having immersed himself in music again, Issac Delgado began taking vocal technique classes with Mariana De Gonish and enrolled at the Ignacio Cervantes Music School.

Later, in 1983, he joined the band led by Pacho Alonso, thus beginning his career as a professional musician. With this orchestra, Delgado performed numerous concerts abroad and also recorded his first album. He later became the singer of Galaxia, with whom he recorded his second album.

In 1988, he joined NG La Banda, one of the most popular Cuban music orchestras, as a vocalist. With them, he captured his vocal talent on three albums and achieved great acclaim. He founded his own orchestra in 1991. With them, he recorded his CD, Dando la Hora, for which he won the EGREM award (1992).

With his group, Isaac Delgado took his music to various international stages and events, such as the Salsa Festival held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. At that event, he performed with figures such as Celia Cruz, José Alberto (El Canario), and Grupo Niche. He also performed at the Guerra de la Salsa festival in 1997, where he shared roles with La India, Rey Ruiz, and Tony Vega.

In that North American city, he recorded the album titled Another Idea. In 2006, he moved to the United States, where he decided to establish his residence. A year later, he recorded another album.

Isaac Delgado has received several awards, including the EGREM Award (1990-1991) with NG la Banda; and the EGREM Award (1992, 1993, 1994) for Dando la Hora, Con Ganas, and El Chévere de la Salsa and El Caballero del Son, respectively.
