13.12.10 Cuban Charanga.

La Charanga Cubana, a prominent group of Cuban musicians, initially comprised of four members and formed in April 2007. It initially consisted of two Cuban musicians and two Slovak musicians.

Over time, three new musicians joined the group, with the goal of achieving a more comprehensive interpretation of their musical productions, keeping in mind the original idea and without losing the essence of Cuban music.

Today, the Charanga Cubana group consists of nine Slovak musicians, each highly talented despite their foreign nationality. The group is the first of its kind in Slovakia, performing its repertoire of original arrangements and compositions.

Thanks to this project, traditional and popular Cuban and Latin American music has been promoted in Slovakia, a fundamental objective of this musical group.

The Charanga Cubana group regularly performs at Latin festivals such as: Fiesta Latina Flash by Miguel Méndez, Country Bal Bratislava, Rómsky Festival, Lions Club society activities, SNP Celebrations, Jankov Vŕšok.

Their main current performances are concerts in Slovakia and Austria, as well as at the Hlava XXII club and restaurants, where this musical genre is popular and has a large following. They also perform at commercial and private company parties.
