13.22.4 Ramón Lavado (The Jackal)

Ramón Lavado, popularly known as El Chacal, a prominent Cuban soloist and musician, was born on February 8, 1986, in Havana.
From a young age, he participated in events and Cultural Centers, sharing his training and experience with his fans and disciples. In the early 1990s, Ramón became one of the leaders of the urban movement and also founded the Hip Hop school in Cuba.
Already in the new millennium, in 2003, El Chacal began his professional career, having completed his education, with the founding of his own project, which he called Los Chavos. In this group, he strengthened his skills as a writer and performer.
For three years, Ramón Lavado toured various provinces and municipalities across the Cuban archipelago. He was then recruited by Baby Lores to join his group Clan 537, part of the Benny Moré Company’s Art Catalog. He recorded three albums with this group.
Ramón Lavado has performed on numerous Cuban stages throughout his career. He has been invited to sing alongside renowned Cuban musicians and groups such as Yulien Oviedo, El Insurrecto, Eddy-K, and others.
She began her career as a soloist and independent artist by signing with Hitown Entertainment in 2009. Through this company, she conceived and released her debut album, Reporte. She has also produced joint albums with other Cuban artists, such as Charanga Habanera and Haila María Mompié.
In 2010, Ramón Lavado worked on his album El Clave.
