13.6.15 Festival Proposals

The Proposiciones Festival held its first edition in 2010, under the slogan “For a Living Planet.” It is an urban event promoted by the cultural institution PM Records. Absolutely popular, it appeals to the arts, coupled with music, as a gateway to maintaining a dialogue with the city’s youth in alternative venues.
It is planned to be held annually, with the goal of allowing all artistic expressions to coexist openly and organically in a massive celebration. The Proposiciones Festival would thus become an effective venue for showcasing diverse creative offerings in an inclusive environment that respects the diversity of humanity and nature.
The program promotes urban recreational activities, benefiting the protection of Cuban heritage and the most original traditions. The festival is supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and children are the recipients of a wide variety of activities.
The Honorary President of the Organizing Committee is the important Cuban musician Pablo Milanés, and the Director of the event is Suylén Milanés.
The Proposiciones Festival, as a purpose, upholds the need to bring together, from all possible spaces and expressive resources, a consciousness that preaches harmony between the human species, other living beings, and the Earth.
