13.10.3 Marcos Madrigal

Marcos Madrigal, Cuban pianist, graduate of the Higher Institute of Art of Cuba (ISA) (1110 120th Street between 9th and 13th Streets, Cubanacán, Playa, Havana).
In 2008, Marcos Madrigal performed at the Third International Piano Competition Citta di Avezzano, held in the Italian city of the same name, in the European Piano Performance Award category, the event’s most important competition. He won First Prize, awarded by unanimous decision of the jury.
That same year, she gave a recital entitled “Afternoon in Havana” at the Bibli Cultural Center in Rome, as part of the concert season organized by the Mrs. Philharmonic Society/Musical Projects of Rome. She performed a program consisting of works by Brahms, Alberto Ginastera, Manuel Saumell, Ignacio Cervantes, Ernesto Lecuona, Carlos Fariñas, José María Vitier, and Aldo López Gavilán.
At this time, Marcos was living in Italy for two years, taking classes at the Lake Como International Piano Academy. There, he studied and received master classes from prominent pianists such as Martha Argerich, Dimitri Bashkirov, and William Grant Nabore, among others.
