VI Arts Festival, with the youth of ISA

The sixth edition of the Arts Festival will run from Monday, March 23rd to Sunday, March 29th. The event, organized in the capital by the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), includes a wide range of artistic and academic activities and began with a magical-religious ceremony called Awan, a spiritual cleansing ritual to promote a successful week. Theater and dance performances will be the order of the day, along with performances and activities aimed at bringing art to the entire community, both by storm and through the hands of young people.

IV Meeting of Guitar Orchestras in Las Tunas

The 4th Guitar Orchestra Meeting will take place in Las Tunas from March 25th to 29th, 2015. This is an ideal venue for an exchange of string instruments, with artists from several provinces across the island participating. The event will also be an opportunity to pay tribute to maestro Jesús Ortega on his 80th birthday. The ensembles Isaac Nicola and Sonantas Habaneras, as well as other groups from Villa Clara, Camagüey, and Granma, have already confirmed their presence. The guitar center will be at the Tunas Theater, but other spaces for theoretical debate on musical performance and composition are planned.

Theater Festival for Children and Young People in Cienfuegos

This is the name given to the event, which will take place in the Pearl of the South from March 26th to 29th, precisely because it is a celebration where the little ones in the house will have the opportunity to freely enjoy the wonderful art of the stage. A total of 13 groups will take part, including Retablos, Teatro de los Elementos, and Guiñol de Cienfuegos, among others that have earned well-deserved recognition from the Cuban public. In commemoration of International Theater Day, on March 27th, the Provincial Theater Award will be presented.
